Tree Logic has been recently awarded the tender for the Wyndham Shire Council street planting contract. Overall responsibility will be for the planting, watering and maintenance of street trees as part of a panel contract.
“ We are really excited about this project” said David Balsamo, Director/ Manager Physical Services. “It is extremely challenging and brings together all the components of our expertise”.
Wyndham area is traditionally a tough area to grow trees due to the soil type and flat and windy conditions. Prior to settlement, tree coverage was sparse. In fact, Werribee is a favourite location for film shoots for “outback” and “desert” scenes. The challenge for Tree Logic is to work with these conditions utilising the latest in technology such as carbohydrate drenches, polymers in soil mixes and recycled water. “We aim to not only establish trees but to do it in a sustainable way” he said. David Balsamo will be discussing this project at the upcoming Tree Logic seminar ‘Sustainable Systems for Urban Trees’.

Tree Logic are presenting a national seminar bringing together national and international experts.
